Kindred & Co Branding Session

As a Boston branding photographer, there are few things I love more than stepping into the creative world of a business that is as thoughtful and intentional as its products. Enter Kindred & Co.—a Boston based, female-owned business that creates beautifully designed planners (complete with prompts for reflection and journaling) and custom calligraphy name cards for weddings and events. Basically, if you’ve ever dreamed of having your to-do list gently remind you to breathe and your wedding table look like it belongs on Pinterest, this is your girl.

For our lifestyle branding session, we wanted to capture both sides of Kindred & Co.’s magic: the planners in action and the artistry behind her custom name cards. We set up several different vignettes—think cozy corners where you can actually imagine sitting down with your morning coffee and planner, plus behind-the-scenes glimpses of ink and paper turning into elegant keepsakes. (I may or may not have contemplated stealing a name card for myself, but “Photographer” doesn’t have quite the same ring as “Bride.”)

One of my favorite parts of photographing branding sessions like this is highlighting the process. It’s not just about the finished product—it’s about the human touch, the creative spark, and yes, the ink smudges along the way. These little details are what bring your brand to life and give your audience that “oh, I need this in my life” moment.
