Begin Family Session
Spring in New England is a little like waiting for your toddler to put on their shoes: you never quite know how long it’s going to take, and just when you think you’re ready to go, it throws you a curveball. But when spring does show up, it’s worth the wait—especially for a family session at one of my favorite spots: the Acton Arboretum.
I met this gorgeous family last year when our daughters went to preschool together and became fast friends. It’s always such an honor (and frankly a little nerve wracking) when friends trust me to capture their families. If I’m really honest though, the more kids there are, the easier my job.
We let the kids lead the way—because if you’ve ever tried to direct a family of six with four energetic kiddos, you know the secret is to embrace the chaos, not fight it. There were giggles, grass stains, and a few surprisingly coordinated group hugs. The parents even managed a quiet moment together (by quiet, I mean 12 seconds while the kids were distracted by a frog).
As a Central MA family photographer, I love sessions like this—real families, real connections, and the kind of photos that will bring them right back to this season of life. If you’re in the Boston or Central Massachusetts area and want family photos that feel less like a photoshoot and more like a fun afternoon outdoors then reach out and let’s make it happen!
