Ada’s In Home Newborn Session

Baby Ada’s winter in-home newborn session had all the elements I love most as a Boston newborn photographer: soft light, sleepy snuggles, and a family who somehow looked downright radiant despite operating on… let’s call it “selective hours” of sleep.

The moment I stepped into their Central MA home, it felt like a cozy little snow-day cocoon. Every room was so gorgeously decorated in the calming tones and I still can NOT get over Ada in her stinking cute bonnet. I’m considering implementing a mandatory bonnet rule!

Winter babies always hit me right in the feelings because my oldest was a winter baby, too. I remember those cold, quiet months at home—learning how to be someone’s mom, staring at them in awe, and whispering daily prayers that they wouldn’t get sick if someone so much as sneezed within a five-mile radius. There’s a special tenderness in that season, equal parts cozy and chaotic.

Ada brought all of that back in the sweetest way. She snoozed through most of the session like a seasoned professional and stretched in those slow, dramatic newborn ways that make everyone in the room collectively sigh. Her parents cuddled her on the couch, by the window, and in the nursery—each spot giving us that warm, cozy calm that makes in-home sessions feel so meaningful. Mom is also a skilled quilter so we had to capture her sweet girl snuggled on one of her gorgeous quilts!
